Then there is Urien, the brother of Gill, who plays quite similarly to the boss but has different special and super moves and is considerably weaker.
There is also Hugo, the first character to return from a previous game other than Ryu and Ken. However Hugo returns from Final Fight rather than a Street Fighter game and he is accompanied by his comrade Poison.
Gill is no longer the game boss, well he is actually, but you have to fight another character after him.

MTV reported that on April 7th, 2006 Lara Croft was awarded a Guinness World Record that recognises her as the "most successful human video game heroine." The Tomb Raider star won the prize for "transcending the boundaries of video games and becoming a recognisable figure in mainstream society".
Prior to Street Fighter II being released in 1991, most female characters in games existed as objectives to be rescued or cast in the roles of other supporting characters, such as townspeople, girlfriends, the occasional opponent, or simply background decoration.
Since then, in games with selectable characters, at least one or two of them will be female; and there has been a number of games released since that have placed a female character in the lead role.

Vega (Street Fighter) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The style Vega uses to fight is loosely based on Zipota and Savate, both used as a means of self-discipline and defense by unarmed Spanish noblemen, sailors and honor guards of established families.
The character model for Zhang He in the Dynasty Warriors series of games bears a resemblance to Vega, also bearing a tattoo on his chest and wielding clawed gauntlets.
Because he was not a playable character in the original incarnations of Street Fighter II until Champion Edition, this technique could not be replicated by the player unless the battle occured in his stage.

 IGN: Capcom Fighting Evolution Preview
Picking one character to play with can be tough so Capcom has made the whole process a little easier by allowing two characters to be chosen.
Each character can be chosen by holding down two punch buttons or two kick buttons and the results aren't shown until the fight begins.
One of the reasons for changing up the characters is that the different fighters have different styles of play, thus the idea of evolution that's in the title.

When a movie based on a game is released, it generates derision from the general public for being of a genre of movies with known spectacular flops and illegitimacy relegated only for campish viewing.
While video game movies have hardly met with success at least in the US, there are examples of such movies being done correct however few and far between.
If Konami were to rework the SNES fighting game in the place of the versus mode and release this bad boy, it might outsell the subsequent games released in the past decade...

Street Fighter 3 Double Impact for Dreamcast Reviews at Shopping.com
As I may have mentioned in some of my other Dreamcast game reviews, I actually went into the console essentially blind on what games were available on it, and on Christmas day I only had a demo disc and a couple of other games to play.
Streetfighter 3, in any version, is a 2D 1-on-1 fighting game where your goal is to win 2 out of 3 rounds of combat by using a variety of attack types to deplete the energy bar of your foe to empty before they do the same to you.
The second Streetfighter game was, and still is, seen by many as the absolute pinnacle of this genre, and Capcom, the game's creators, managed to dodge making a direct sequel for years, keeping fans at bay with the prequel Alpha games, improved versions of SF2 and the Marvel Comics crossover games.

This is a game that gives you a few standard moves along with a super move or two and forces you to work with these elements to build your skill level.
The characters are still less than 640x480, and the backgrounds show no improvement over other 2D fighters, certainly not at the level of Marvel vs Capcom 2.
The game does include both the first and second versions of Street Fighter III, but the first version's inclusion is pure novelty, as there's not much need for it.
