Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible | Christian Classics Ethereal Library
As the flight and capture of Urijah must have occupied some time, "the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim" (Jer 26:1) must not mean the very beginning, but the second or third year of his eleven years' reign.
Urijah was faithful in delivering his message, but faulty in leaving his work, so God permitted him to lose his life, while Jeremiah was protected in danger.
Urijah's corpse was denied this honor, in order that he should not be regarded as a true prophet.

Facing a 5-time Brazilian National BJJ champion, Urijah controlled the initial action with his stand up, landing several punches to the head and kicks to his opponents midsection.
The fighters soon ended up clinched and against the fence, and as the fighters separated, his opponent was able to tie up Urijah's ankles, causing the Champ to fall forward to the mat.
With the fan noise at near deafening levels, Urijah continued his assault on the challenger, who appeared to be confused while trying to avoid the onslaught.

At first glance, Urijah Faber appears to be what one would consider the typical ‘Laguna Beach’ style California resident with his wavy blonde hair, board shorts and flip-flops...and to an extent he might be just that.
Urijah’s next fight, which will be his first for the Zuffa organization, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 20, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Urijah continued, “I’m ready to mix it up…I was looking to fight in December with the WFA and it never happened so I’ve been itching to get in there and throw some punches and be able to unload on someone…it’s going to be exciting.

Redland Park United Reformed Church, Bristol. Rev Urijah Thomas, first minister.
Urijah Thomas's only ministry was at Redland Park; he came as a young man straight from college and stayed until he died, in harness, 39 years later, in spite of having received two or three invitations from other churches.
His aim, carried out faithfully over the years right till 1960, was to provide rest and recreation for ministers and their wives of all denominations, who with their stipends so very low, could not possibly have afforded even the most humble hotel or lodging house.
The civic memorial to Urijah Thomas is the fountain and clock at the top of Blackboy Hill.
