On Monday 4 May 1998, a hazardous situation in train traffic was generated on the section of line between Urjala and Humppila.
In fact a digger performing its work tasks was given access to the track, though a scheduled freight train had not yet passed the site.
The hazardous situation arose as a dispatcher working as an interlocking operator-trainee at Urjala failed to check the location of the freight train before giving permission to the digger to mount on the track.
