During two consecutive terms (1996-2002) Professor Klucinski was the Rector of the WAU in the most important period of the unprecedented development of the University, establishing the new campus in Ursynow area in Warsaw.
The name of the area: Ursynow, now the fastest developing part of Warsaw, originates from the name of Ursyn Niemcewicz (1758-1841), the famous Polish writer, poet, politician and patriot.
On his and his team`s initiative all buildings of the new Ursynow Campus including the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine were given names of the most distinguished benefactors and scientists.
