Chatti - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
According to Tacitus in his book Germania (chapter 30), they were disciplined warriors famed for their infantry, who (unusual for Germanic tribes) used trenching tools and carried provisions when at war.
Their neighbours to the north were the Usipi and Tencteri.
The Chatti eventually became a branch of the much larger neighboring Franks and were incorporated in the kingdom of Clovis I, probably with the Ripuarians, at the beginning of the 6th century.

The 74,300 Usipi, who are part of this complex cultural environment, are located predominantly in the eastern states of Assam and Tripura.
The Usipi are predominantly ethnic religionists, practicing a blend of animism and ancestor worship.
The Usipi have portions of the Bible available in their language, and there is a single missions agency currently targeting them.

Tacitus tells us of the Germanic legend that Asciburgium had originally been founded by "Hercules", by which he probably means the Germanic god Thornaraz or Thor.
Close to the Chatti are the Usipi and the Tencteri.
They dwell on the bank of the Rhine, which by this time flows in a well-defined channel and is large enough to serve as a boundary.

It is hard to believe that Cassius Dio (who published shortly after A.D. 200) did not know at least the Agricola.
20 he mentions Gnaeus Julius Agricola as having proved Britain to be an island and in the later instance tells the story of the fugitive Usipi.
If we make allowance for the method of Tacitus, which leaves his account far from clear, and for the use of a different language by Dio, there can be little if any doubt that Tacitus is the source for Dio.

In the ranks of our very enemies we shall find hands to help us.
The Britons will recognize our cause as their own, the Gauls will remember their lost liberty, the rest of the Germans will desert them as surely as the Usipi have just done.
They have nothing in reserve that need alarm us—only forts without garrisons, colonies of grey-beards, towns sick and distracted between rebel subjects and tyrant masters.

The Histories [of Ancient Rome] by Cornelius Tacitus:book 4
Then the men of the First, Fourth and Twenty-Second repentantly followed Vocula and in his presence once more swore allegiance to Vespasian.
They were led off to relieve Mogontiacum, but by this time the besiegers, a mixed force of Chatti, Usipi and Mattiaci, had left the scene with their fill of spoil.
Yet they paid in blood for the victory: some troops of ours had fallen upon them on their march, while they were scattered and off their guard.

The large contingent of German Americans from the Rhineland may be the other half-tribe of Manasseh.
One of the Germanic tribes that settled on the Rhine was the USIPI, a name derived from Joseph.
If it is true than much of the North-South conflict in the USA can be seen as a rivalry between A conservative Ephraim in the South and a liberal Manasseh in the North.

 Usipian
By the way, what does "Usipian" mean and why did you choose this name?
Usipian was an ancient tribe in old Germania (Originally named Usipi).
And we changed it with Gothic Domain because it simply sounded way to gay.

Has the interest in our country's proud history and old customs also been a considerable source of inspiration to the musical expression of Usipian ?
: Actually Usipi was a Germanic tribe situated at the Rhine between Lippe and Ruhr, not exactly the territory that now constitutes Denmark (or "the North" as you put it).
However we did want to find a moniker that signifies pride of heritage.
