		North Utica is a village in La Salle County, Illinois, United States.
		While North Utica is the proper name for the city, advertising on nearby Interstates 80 and 39 refers to the village by its original name, Utica.
		The town of Utica had previously been established on the banks of the Illinois River during the 1830s, but flooding and the construction of the Illinois and Michigan Canal a few miles north encouraged redevelopment of the village there as North Utica.

		All of the bodies were recovered from the Milestone Tavern, a bar that was located on the ground floor of the three-story building that collapsed during the tornadoes Tuesday night.
		Utica City Hall was one of dozens of buildings and homes damaged in the LaSalle County town of 1,000 residents.

		Happened yesterday, far more important of course are the eight lives lost as the massive tornado passed right through the middle of the town of 1,000 or so in central Illinois about this time last night.
		Can't recall the depot but the town of Utica as well as the surrounding communities have some great bars and restaurants!
		However, a friend stated that he thought this would be the first RI depot in Illinois to be razed since 1980 -- luckily, there are still a bunch out there, along with a few other RI artifacts.
