It is loosely based on a 1932 movie of the same name, (see (additional info and facts about Scarface (1932)) Scarface (1932)).
As the movie carries on with the story of Tony's apparent success, Tony's humanity begins to emerge along with his loss of interest in the superficial trappings of that success.
The movie contains a good deal of profanity (the word (Slang terms for sexual intercourse) fuck is used 182 times by Pacino alone) and violence, including a notorious shower scene featuring a (Portable power saw; teeth linked to form an endless chain) chainsaw.

Utu is the Maori word for "Retribution," which sums up the chief motivating factor of this New Zealand-produced drama.
Since it is the scout's own village, he deserts the British army, the better to seek "utu." Leading a vigilante force consisting of his fellow Maoris, Wallace kills as many British settlers as he can get his hands on.
The most expensive New Zealand-filmed project to date, Utu was an enormous success upon its first domestic release; the American version runs some 15 minutes shorter than the original.

Enacting the Maori ritualized revenge of Utu, Te Wheke has his face a ceremonially scarred into an eerie battle-mask, assembles an impromptu band of Maori outlaws, and launches a campaign of surprise attacks on New Zealand's white settlers.
Alternately satirical and terrifying in its depiction of the British hierarchy and the marauding Maori derange by bloodlust, Utu is an old-fashioned American Western gone horrifyingly berserk.
Utu is an ultimately tragic tale (in the tradition of One Were Warriors and The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith) of justice gone grotesquely awry.

Things are never fl-and-white, we are never really given a true villain behind the happenings in the film and any evil deeds usually have some kind of thought-provoking motif behind them.
A lot of this comes through in one big long shot, examining utu (revenge), death and culture.
The movie just seemed to keep going and going, it dragged in various spots and aside from interesting character choices (Te Wheke shooting one of his friends because he was slowing down the tribe to name one) there isn't really a hell of a lot going on.

Threatening events in dreams were found to be based on relatively realistic rather than fantastic information (confirming prediction 2.3).
A threatening event in a dream is not a simple replay of the fictional threats that we regularly encounter in the movies and television.
In TV and movies we often see strangers threatened by exotic threats, whereas in dreams it is typical that we ourselves and our closest ones are most often threatened by familiar and realistic dangers.
