Utumno was not described in that great detail and on one map the exterior or Utumno seems to be a similar size to Angband (although Utumno's underground complex must be much bigger, if it's surface structure is a similar size to Angband's gateway).
Yeah, in Utumno, I imagine it would be pitch flness with caves much larger than Moria's swarming with all manner of horrific things like gigantic spiders, ghouls and Balrogs.
