		Regarding focus in the VC business, focus could be good because you can build expertise in an area but don't put all of your eggs in one basket.

	BeyondVC
		There is not much for me to add to this article as we all know that the only loyalty VCs have is to their Limited Partners to generate long-term capital gains.
		This means we do not fund a company because of what technology platform it chooses to develop on but rather what problem the company and product is solving and how big that opportunity is. It reminds me of a panel that I spoke on in 1997 at the Red Herring Java Technology Conference.
		In the end VCs have be loyal to its Limited Partners, not a technology platform, so the eWeek article itself is overblown.

	VC funding hype, Chapter 2.
		Silicon Valley was advertised as once again the place to be as $1.7 billion, or 34% of worldwide VC funding was spent on companies based here.
		However, the VC's have now voted with their wallets and reduced Silicon Valley's IT/Electronics funding by 16.4% (a nearly 20% reduction in share of US VC IT/Electronics funds).
		Bambi Francisco makes several excellent points of caution in regards to the stock, the most interesting of which observes daily in-flows to the market are running only $200M compared but the 10% of Google stock which might hit the market is projected to be snapped up for $2B.
