Three company Directors moved their base of operations to the United Kingdom and set up trading as Ster Century.
The newly founded Ster Century entered into partnership with Assos Odeon, a cinema exhibition company in Greece, and opened its first multiplex cinema in 1998 under the name of Ster Odeon.
In 1999 Ster Century continued its expansion opening multiplex cinemas in Dublin, Ireland; Brno, Czech Republic; Wroclaw and Warsaw, Poland; and two sites in Budapest, Hungary.

I know Ster Kinekor do it too with the Junction versus a few Select Others, but because I'm currently liking them I don't mind and most of their cinemas are now Junction anyway.
Nu Metro knew what Ster Kinekor had done and that everyone would assume their promise was similar.
Taking the wind out of their sails with their ticket price announcement the way they did and then not following through and now suggesting everyone should have known they weren't committing.
