This gives ViXS' technology its high-speed transcoding capability -- 8X to 24X real time -- enabling consumers to encode and "burn" video content to DVDs faster than the length of video itself and to do it using up to 50 percent less storage space.
ViXS' hardware-dedicated approach will allow consumers to do things like simultaneously convert a full-length MPEG4-AVC feature film to MPEG and burn it to a DVD in a matter of minutes.
