	VJTI: Shifting orientation to IT applications - Express Textile - Campus Notes
		Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), one of the premier engineering institutes in the country today, was one of the first institutes to start a textile technology diploma, way back in 1887.

		However, the VJTI authorities did not even know the name of the contractor hired by the F/North ward office,'' said a member of Friends of the Trees, Nandu N Naik.
		Since cutting is a criminal offence, we request you to take the necessary action, including police action, against the contractor.'' Vinzanekar's letter further states: ``VJTI has one of the richest greenery in the area and has been holding the Friends of the Trees exhibition for anumber of years.

	The Hindu Business Line : High voltage Siemens lab for VJTI
		SIEMENS Ltd in collaboration with the city-based Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), has set up a high voltage laboratory in the VJTI campus.
		With an investment of Rs 50-60 lakh from Siemens, the lab can test impulse voltages up to 800kV and is the first of its kind in Maharashtra.
