VT100.net: VT05 Alphanumeric Display Terminal Reference Manual
The VT05 Alphanumeric Display Terminal, consisting of a CRT terminal and self-contained keyboard, can be used as a peripheral I/O device with a computer or as a stand-alone closed-circuit television monitor (see Figure 1-1).
The VT05 is a raster-type display that is compatible with Electronics Industries Association (EIA) standards (refer to Paragraph 1.2.2); thus, it allows characters and video pictures originating from a closed-circuit television source to be displayed with LOCAL- or computer-generated alphanumeric text (REMOTE) superimposed on the picture.
VT05 interfacing information pertaining to the various DEC computers, communications control options, etc., is provided in Figures 1-4 and 1-5, and Tables 1-5 and 1-6.

 Digital’s Video Terminals – VT100.net
The VT05 was the first video terminal manufactured by Digital, introduced in 1970.
This was not much more than a video teletype, receiving and transmitting at rates up to 300 baud.
On 30 August 1995, Digital announced the sale of their text terminals business to SunRiver Data Systems, who changed their name to Boundless Technologies in August 1996.

The Terminet's tape drive (which took an ordinary audio tape cassette) was supposed to be a modern replacement for the Teletype ASR-33 paper tape, and had possibilities for removeable offline storage that didn't pan out.
The Terminet's print mechanism was similar to the IBM 1403 and was quite fast for its day, but also unbearably loud and prone to jam.
The VT05 was an uppercase-only (and DEC's first) video terminal.

I'm going to be on the West End today so if it's Universal or Richmond I can cruise by at lunch.
But I'll be happy to go test drive at Capitol Fraud before I let Team Ford order one for me since I live in Raleigh.
From what I gathered yesterday, Richmond Ford is the only dealership in the area (95 corridor from Petersburg to Fredericksburg) that has one so far.
