  VT52: the Story
This report tries to tell the story about the VT52 and all of it's relatives which were produced over the years.
A VT52 and two normal 45 ST's I thought at first, but one turned out to be a 45A.
This started me thinking: the NU VT52 that I have is identical to the WE VT52's I've seen so far, as are the Senco and Philco types.

VT52 - A TECO Macro for Video Terminals VT52 is a TECO macro to make use of the VT52 display terminal; it implements an interactive keypad editor.
The keys on the VT52 keypad are used for such functions as cursor movement, character deletion and space expansion, and the delimiting of search strings and TECO commands.
Needless to say, VT52 is more demanding on system resources than conventional TECO; executing the macro uses a substantial amount of CPU time.

VT52 is a VT52 terminal emulator written for Kaypro II and IV (non- graphic versions).
Because of 4, VT52 does a much better job of emulating a VT52 than other programs that only translate VT52 escape sequences into Kaypro escape sequences (for example reverse line feed on VT52).
The escape sequences that VT52 has in addition to the normal VT52 escape sequences were chosen to allow a much faster screen edit using EMACS.
