		VTOC performs a synthesis-like transformation of the input program, resolving the majority of scheduling decisions statically and resulting in a simple, straight-line representation of the execution of the Verilog program in each clock cycle.
		VTOC is entirely specialized to a 2-value simulation, with each Verilog vector corresponding to a similar C variable, so it’s very easy for software engineers to interface with the tool and understand it.
		A VTOC model was used to measure the exact behavior of the DRAM interface under intense load from both CPUs, with typical application code rather than an artificial loader being used.

		In that case, VTOC positioning is dependent on the position of the sequenced set and of the VTOC within the set.

	Batching data objects for recording on optical disks with maximum object count - Patent 4974197
		It is desired to maximize the number of VTOC entries in each of the addressable sectors in area 14, such as in addressable sector 17, which is shown in FIG.
		Each VTOC entry consumed 80 bytes for identifying the name of the stored data object, its length, the sector of disk 10, which is the lowest sector number storing the data object (where its recording begins), the number of blocks (sectors) occupied by the data object, and date and time of recording.
		Grouping or batching twelve objects for allowing twelve VTOC entries to be recorded in an addressable directory sector 17 results in recording 48K bytes of data in 192 milliseconds plus 520 milliseconds for recording all twelve of the VTOC entries.

	VTOC TSO Command
		There is a later version of VTOC on the more current versions of CBT, but they require modification in order to install/use on MVS 3.8j, and this version is quite acceptable on our older version of MVS.
		The help text provided for VTOC is quite thorough, so I have simply reproduced it here (with some formatting changes to make it more readable).
		The keywords and their values are the same as in teh VTOC output.

		The theoretical minimum time in which a VTOC can be read is to use a channel program and read a cylinder at a time.
		For a 1 cylinder VTOC on a 3380, this should be 16.7 ms/track x 15 tracks, or about 250.5 milliseconds.
		In the case of a two cylinder VTOC on a 3380, this works out to 376 bytes for the CCWs, 81 bytes for the Seek & Search arguments, and 235320 bytes for the VTOC data.

	Atari 8-bit Disk Formats
		This consists of 10 special purpose bytes and 90 bytes used to hold a sector bit map to track used sectors for sectors 0 through 719 on the disk (for compability reasons with Dos 2.0) Sector 1024 is used to track the remaining sectors.
		This is a continuation of the VTOC since the VTOC at sector 360 would only be able to handle 944 sectors.
		The first vtoc sector consists of 10 special purpose bytes and 118 bytes used to hold a sector bit map to track used sectors for sectors 0 through 943(max) on the disk.

		What I found with VTOC, is that no changes were needed to our Verilog RTL other than using behavioral RAMs in place of the vendor Verilog RAM models, to start running the simulations.
		If we had VTOC earlier, we could have replaced the "register only" model with the cycle accurate model created from the Verilog RTL.
		After writing a C++ interface from the test bench to the DUT, I was soon running VTOC simulation benchmarks.
