		My system, which I believe is compatible with the rear hatches of both the 1964~67 and 1968~79 VW Type 2s, is a relatively simple adaptation, of the stock, factory-fitted SWF system, which I salvaged from a late-1970s to mid-1980s vintage, Vauxhall Astra Mk.
		This would also, probably be practical, for British and European specification, 1968~71 VW Type 2s, but I am not sure about the USA specification vehicles, which have a bizarre electrical circuit, linking the turn-signals and brake lights and whose turn-signal and headlamp dimmer switch, seem to have some additional connections.
		Although the 1973~74 VW Type2, has a flick-wipe facility for single-sweep windscreen wiping, there are occasions when an intermittent or variable-intermittent wiper frequency would be useful.

		There is a breath of information here, from the basics (what is a type 3 and the 3 distinct versions that went into production) as well as some interested design studies and more obscure production cars from Brazil, to technical info about the engine and other need-to-know bits about this car.
		There is a lot to see here, including photo galleries, rare add-ons to the type 3, restoration info, type 3 toys and a host of historical info and literature.
		To be honest, before surfing these pages I didn't really know the difference between a type 3, type 4 or the Karmann type 3 Ghia, the type 34.

		This is a change in the date due to the City of Myrtle Creek changing the date of their festival that we need to be a part of to use the facility for the Invasion.
		In the course of a summer the T-2 crowd has their "Buses By the Bridge" in Havasu, and "The Bulli Brigade", in Florida, and as usual there are many events for T-1's to join, like the VW Classic, Sacramento Bug O Rama and Octo and on and so forth.
		The 04 Type 3 Invasion really nailed the relaxed part with the food/fun at the host hotel, the getting lost in town tour, and at the event site.

		What seems to do VW in is not poor engineering design, but manufacturing defects from their subs.
		Blame goes to 3 entities in this situation: Ford for recommending an underinflation spec, Bridgestone for providing a tire that was intolerant of the level of underinflation, and the customers for not maintaining their vehicles properly.
		In all likelihood, VW will make VDO foot the bill for this recall, partially or in full, since it ultimately was their failure- they did not provide a component that conformed to VW's requirements per the contract they signed to supply the parts.

		Hi guys, I think I might be bursting a bubble or two here, but I have never seen a 1/24 or 1/25 type 3.
		Pre-70 Type 3's are called short-nose, because of their more round front, giving them a shorter apperance.
		I was given a brand-new '62 Beetle with sunroof and Blaupunkt AM/FM radio (just about all the toys you could get on a Beetle back then!) for Christmas in 1961 (was a senior in High School, and a Beetle was THE status symbol--indicating that a HS kid was really part of the inside crowd!).
