  E-vaikuntha-srirangam
However, the most important observance for all classes of people is of the Vaikuntha Ekaadashi, which falls in the Shuklapaksha of the auspicious month of Margasheersha.
In the flight of her imagination was born the immortal Tiruppaavai which depicts the pining of the Gopis for Lord Sri Krishna, observing a vrata to attain Him, getting up very early in the morning, awakening the sleeping Gopis, collecting them together, going to Nanda’s place, waking up the lord and enjoying union with him.
Besides it is also a pleasant sight to behold hundreds of men, women and children coming round the temple in Pradakshina, through the main streets, singing bhajan songs to the accompaniment of musical instruments and braving the chill weather of the early morning hours.

Since he is discussing the qualities of Vaikuntha, it is understood he is not referring only to those devotees who go there from the material world.
In other words, those who achieve Vaikuntha have experienced the miseries of the material world, but the nitya siddhas are ignorant of it, and are subject to fall down.
Moreover even if the Vaikuntha devotee wants to recall his material experience, he does not have the subtle body in which all the impressions are stored.

Thus the true sthanam of the living entity is the realm of Vaikuntha.
The true impetus of the living entity should be to go back to Godhead, to the supreme abode of Vaikuntha, and activities performed in that direction form the right path of work.
Such purified living entities develop their original spiritual bodies and are resituated in their constitutional position in Vaikuntha, the spiritual abode of the Lord.

‘Vaikuntha seemed a very spiritual place and the sense of calm and contentment I got there was what I was looking for.’ Nina was encouraged to indulge her creative side by painting and writing poetry and attended workshops on the deleterious effects of money.
Indeed, it marked the beginning of a destructive relationship with Danesh and Vaikuntha which left Nina nearly bankrupt after losing, she estimates, in the region of Pounds 300,000, her marriage destroyed and her peace of mind shattered.
While her traumatic experience is a salutary warning against the modern-day obsession with New Age mysticism, it is also clear the longing on the part of Nina and scores of other professionals for something more ‘fulfilling’ in their lives led to a breathtaking degree of naivety.
