Valencia's have orange colored flesh, which is loaded with golden juice of rich flavor and aroma.

We present a simultaneous liquid chromatographic method for quantitation of the major carotenoid pigment in pure valencia orange juice from two country origins.
The spectra of saponified carotenoid pigments from 23 orange juices samples were compared and discussed in the context of results that were published previously.
The total carotenoids considered were higher in valencia juice from Spain (17.0+/-5.0 mg l^-^1) than in valencia juice from Belize (4.8+/-1.0 mg l^-^1).

Valencia oranges were obtained from the same grove at three times during the 2005 harvest season, early March, early April and early May. A commercial juice extractor was used to extract juice and the processing waste collected for hydrolysis.
