Karl, David and I took a bus ride to Valparaiso in the morning, which is a tourist town on the coast, about 2 hours from Santiago.
The view from Plaza Sotomayer, which was quoted as being "the place for visitors to Valparaiso to start their sight seeing." Unfortunately, the entire plaza was under construction at the time.
After climbing up some steep hills, the view from the top is quite magnificent, with contrasting architectures quite evident throughout Valparaiso.

Craig D. Boshart, of Valparaiso, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at Porter Hospital Valparaiso Campus, Valparaiso.
He was born Oct. 8, 1980 in Merrillville, the son of Ronald D. and Deborah J. Boshart, both of whom survive in Valparaiso.
He is also survived by two sisters, Jaime (William) Green and Natalie Boshart, both of Valparaiso; maternal grandparents, George and Betty Keaton of Hebron; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Gail Boshart of Wash.; a fiancée, Alaina Ferguson of Valparaiso, whom he was to marry in June 2005.
