Vancouver's Michael Dickerson scored 27 points and Portland's Scottie Pippen missed a jumper with a half-second left as the Grizzlies surprised Portland 89-87 Thursday night.
Vancouver led by as many as 20 points late in the second quarter, but let most of that evaporate, and Portland pulled within 84-80 with 5:34 left in the game on Steve Smith's two free throws.
Vancouver raced out to an early lead, shooting 65 percent in the first quarter to go up 32-18.
