Marc Crawford Newsmaker: Crawford leaves an uneven legacy CBC Sports Online
Crawford's best year came in 2003-04 when the Canucks won the Northwest - its first division title in more than a decade - and set a pair franchise records for most points (104) and consecutive wins (10) in a season.
Crawford, who as a player earned the nickname "Crow" after splitting his time with the Canucks and the club's farm team in New Brunswick for six seasons, won a club-record 246 games as coach of Vancouver, but that wasn't enough to save his job.
A fourth-round NHL draft pick in 1980, Crawford played 176 games for Vancouver from 1981-87, including 14 playoff contests in his rookie 1981-82 season when the Canucks were swept in the Stanley Cup finals by the New York Islanders.

Vancouver set several franchise records under Crawford in 2003-04, including points (104) and consecutive wins (10).

Often described as the “heart and soul” of the Canucks during his 13-year playing career, Smyl established Vancouver records for games played (896), goals (262), assists (411) and points (673).
FAMILIAR FACES: In addition to Stan Smyl’s return this weekend the Manitoba roster boosts five former Crunch players (Pat Kavanagh, Ryan Ready, Jaroslav Obsut, Sean Pronger and Chris Nielsen), including two, Ready and Kavanagh, from the 1999-00 Crunch team, the last year Syracuse was affiliated with Vancouver.
During the 1979-80 season Smyl led the Canucks in goals (31), assists (47), points (78) and penalty minutes (204), still marking the last time any NHL player led his club in all four categories.

Kirk McLean - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It was from there that McLean's career took off, as he set a number of franchise records for the Canucks, and appeared in National Hockey League All-Star Games in 1990 and 1992, and was named first runner-up for the Vezina Trophy (for outstanding goaltender) for the 1991-92 NHL season.
McLean will always be known for his stellar play as a Vancouver Canuck and perhaps one of the greatest Canuck goalies of all time.
His peak with the Canucks undoubtedly came during the 1994 playoffs, when he backstopped them to within two goals of the Stanley Cup, displaying arguably the best run of goaltending in Canucks' history.

Their music had been captured on five Columbia Records discs with titles like "Rabies" and "Too Dark Park." Recently Mondo 2000's Edward Tywoniak had an opportunity to talk with two thirds of Skinny Puppy, singer and visual artist Kevin Ogilvie (who goes by the moniker Ogre) and keyboardist Dwayne Goettel.

I wrote a program that takes as input the list of team records.
Magic numbers are simpler in, say, baseball, because one game equals one point, and there is only one playoff spot per division (ignoring the wild card slot).
