New Delhi: United Nations University, Uttar Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya, Gandhi Hindi Vidyapeeth -- all may seem to be seats of higher learning at first glance but on a closer scrutiny by the University Grants Commission has found them to be fake, along with 19 other institutions.
The UGC has detected that 22 institutions were operating in violation of the Section 22 of the UGC ACt, 1956, seeking to lure the youth by placing advertisements through newspapers.
Of the 22 fake universities, six found in Delhi were the United Nations University, Bioinformatics Institute of India, Varanaseya Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Vocational University, Commercial University and the ADR-Centric Juridical University.

As for instance, the Vidya Bharati Network of Schools, which has three million students all over India, was not given a copy of draft for perusal, according to the SBA sources.
The SBA said that the new draft NCF also ignored and negated the concept of Indianness and the ancient Indian tradition of Wisdom.
