The deeksha is conceived on the lines of "Ayyappa deeksha" of Sabarimala and "Govindamala" of Tirupati, as part of the annual Brahmotsavams in the temple which coincides with the Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations.
The processional deity of Vinayaka will be taken in the town on the traditional celestial carriers like mouse, peacock, serpent, bull, elephant, horse, and also a chariot during the fete, that lasts for twenty days.
