Sir Veerasamy Ringadoo did though; he must have been crying in his grave last Sunday.
Last Sunday, at the unveiling ceremony of a bust of Sir Veerasamy Ringadoo, Navin Ramgoolam was seated between deputy prime minister Pravind Jugnauth and Arts and Culture minister Motee Ramdass.
I suppose there are official functions where there is no need to ask an opposition leader to make a speech because to all intents and purposes, it would be pointless.

And to support his claim, he says he has done some research and that his research tells him early budgets have been presented before.
He names Sir Veerasamy Ringadoo and Rundheersing Bheenick and then he claims that if those former Finance ministers have thought it right to present early budgets, then his stand must be legitimate.
I have not heard one argument so far that would justify the early presentation of a budget.
