| | Review - Venus Hum: Big Beautiful Sky (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-06) |
 | | Venus Hum brings the trio format into an interesting place, if not an entirely new one, making bouncy rock suitable for dancing, synthy new wave reminiscent of the general state of music in the late 80s, and dreamy, creamy pop waiting for you to happily sink in. |
 | | My guess - and that's just what it is - is that the retro-synth aspect of this music will keep it out of the mainstream, but there's not a song here that isn't ripe for the dance floors, especially in Europe, although the clubbers in America can't miss this, either, unless they're on something. |
 | | Demographics aside, stripped to the bare essence, what we have here is a creative trio of highly talented artists in their debut full length release, and you can bet they're going to be on the scene for a long time. |
