The Veterans Committee, officially the Committee on Baseball Veterans, is a committee of the National Baseball Hall of Fame that provides a "second chance" for Hall of Fame election to players passed over in regular Hall of Fame balloting.
The Veterans Committee met behind closed doors, and its ballots and voting results were not revealed.
All members of the former Veterans Committee until the expiration of their terms (only two would still be on the committee in 2003, and only one afterwards; the last member's term expires in 2007).

Members of these organizations and other veterans from our community were invited to attend a school flag raising ceremony on November 9th, followed by a school assembly run by members of our veterans committee and SGA, and featuring musical talent from our students.

Members of the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee who attended the hearing were very interested to hear how the VA is maintaining capacity to treat veterans with mental illness.
In NAMI's opinion, the lack of access to treatment and community supports for veterans with severe mental illness is the greatest unmet need of the VA. It is estimated that 454, 598 veterans have a service connected disability due to a mental illness.
NAMI board member Moe Armstrong told the Committee that psychosocial rehabilitation and peer support have been key to his recovery and that the VA must do a better job in providing peer education, as well as expanding the use of evidence based models in psychosocial rehabilitation, supported employment and family involvement.
