  Viasa
Viasa started in 1967, after an agreement was reached by KLM and the Venezuelan government.
Viasas livery consisted of a silver on the belly, white on the top part of the fuselage color, with orange and blue cheatlines that went all the way to the start of the tail.
Viasa had agreements with Schabak and Gemini Jets[?] to produce their die-cast airplane models[?], and with Hasegawa[?] of Japan to produce their plastic plane models.

Viasa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Viasa began its life as an entity in November of 1960, placing an order for two Convair 880-22M and entering an agreement with KLM for a wet-lease of DC-8 equipment with which to begin operations to Europe in April 1, 1961.
Viasa's first fatal accident occurred on March 16, 1969, in Maracaibo at Grano de Oro Airport where a DC-9-32 (also borrowed from Avensa) crashed on take off falling on nearby blocks of flats and killing all on board plus an almost equal number on the ground.
In the summer of 1982, Viasa leased a couple of MD-82s from KLM for the Caribbean routes and for new flights from Barquisimeto, Barcelona and Porlamar to Miami, but these were returned to KLM in 1984.

That seagull from the Viasa advert you linked misteriously reminded me of KL and one of its signature logos from since the 90's, which is the goose.
Too bad Viasa got killed by politics, because who knows what could have been in store for Viasa had they continued their partnership with KL and even recovered economically (perhaps they could have been part of what was and still is the close partnership between KL and NW).
VIASA was created as the international airline of Venezuela in 1960, when the Venezuelan government decided to unify the international route authorities of its then two partially owned airlines: Aeropostal and Avensa.

In 1960 VIASA ordered two Convair 880 Jetliners to fly from Venezuela to North and Central America and also wet leased DC-8s from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines which enabled them to begin services to Europe in April 1961.
VIASA utilized their DC-8 fleet, including those acquired and leased from KLM, throughout the 1970s and into the 1980s.
In fact, even though VIASA had entered the wide body aircraft "age" in the 1970s, their DC-8-53s continued to play an important role with the airline until 1984 and the DC-8-63s until 1986.

This agreement was ratified judicially by the Bankruptcy Court, in a proceeding that declared the judicial bankruptcy of VIASA.
The State argues that in accordance with Venezuelan procedural practices, execution of a judgment is not a judicial order that is officially issued, but that it is the obligation of the plaintiff or the person bringing legal action.[12] The petitioners in the VIASA case did not bring action on this matter in the Venezuelan courts.
At the present time, in view of the judicial declaration of bankruptcy of VIASA in the procedure on its delinquent debts, a court proceeding is taking place with declaration of judicial possession of the assets, which must be processed in accordance with Venezuelan commercial procedure.

The Viasa debacle, analysts argue, is indicative of the inadequate regulation of the aviation industry.
Access to Viasa's old network, including frequencies to 25 destinations worldwide, have become increasingly important as the government and local carriers fail to address security issues that hamper their ability to open new routes to the United States.
But with the Viasa routes inoperative and no new routes added, the ratio stands at one to six.
