Vibeke: This is a question that I really can't answer since all the albums and songs are special to me in their own, personal way.
Vibeke: We still play typical Tristania music; songs which are changing a lot in mood and dynamic and are characterised by three totally different vocalists and genius keyboards.
Vibeke: We did the final recordings and the mix in October, so this first scheduled release date would be impossible in any case.

This is one of the gems on the album, utilizing Vibeke’s singing and not drowning her out with the array of male vocalists that is common within Tristania.
Vibeke returns for a lead vocal, but it is rather flat and does not seem to utilize her voice overall very much.
One of the pros about the album is that there is more of Vibeke singing, but the downside to this is that her voice is pared down considerably; it is not the powerful instrument that commanded attention in previous albums.

Tristania: Vibeke Stene on vocals, Kjetil Ingebrethsen on vocals, Osten Bergoy on vocals, Anders Hoyvik Hidle on guitar, Rune Osterhus on bass, Einar Moen on synth and programming, and Kenneth Olsson on drums.
Vibeke's vocals are a bit more prominent on "World Of Glass" compared to "Beyond The Veil." "The Modern End" sounds like it could have been right at home on The Gathering's "if_then_else" because it has a haunting vocal melody on top of a subdued musical foundation that carries rather than buries.
Vibeke's prominence does not mean that the extreme male vocals have been abandoned, however.

Stene has an hauntingly, alluring, pure voice that is intoxicating to listen to and sure enough, their release of World of Glass on the retreating footfalls of Veland seemed to bare that out.
However, the other two singers are the band's true strengths, with the sexy operatic vocals of Vibeke Stene and the rich low baritone of Osten Bergoy, and both have voices that are very expressive and unique for metal.
Vibeke still remains in the band, which can only be a good thing as she is certainly one of the more talented vocalists in metal.
