James Roderick Moir aka Vic Reeves was born on 24 January 1959 in Darlington.
Reeves claims to have had stints as a aircraft engineer, pig farmer and punk rocker.
The name Vic Reeves reportedly comes from his favourite singers Vic Damone and Jim Reeves, and apparently, Reeves wanted to change his name because the BBC's light entertainment head was called Jim Moir.

Comedian Vic Reeves has been banned from driving for 32 months after admitting to leaving the scene of an accident.
Reeves, real name Jim Moir, appeared at Maidstone Magistrates this morning, where he pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a collision.
The comedian, who was three times over the legal alcohol limit on the night of the accident, claimed that he didn't notice that he had hit the car, in which one of his neighbours was sitting.

What made me laugh is the intro's to the show as Vic begins his singing with the help of Bob Mortimer and some crazy prop.
Vic Reeves is one of the best modern comedians today.
