  Ludlow Monument - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Monument was damaged by persons unknown in 2003 with the heads and arms of the statue figures cut and removed, but has undergone repair.
The repaired monument was unveiled at the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) annual Ludlow ceremony on June 5, 2005.
Just a mile or two west of the Ludlow Monument is the Victor American Hastings Mine Disaster monument.

Victor American Hastings Mine Disaster - The Victor American Hastings Mine Disaster was a fire at the Victor American Fuel Company coal mine in Hastings, Colorado on April 27, 1917 in which 121 people died.
A small monument, the Victor American Hastings Mine Disaster Monument, marks the location, one to two miles west of the Ludlow Monument.
The Victor Valley is to the north, the Los Angeles tend to travel in checkerboards, all at the time.

These two mines, and the later Cornell mine, comprised what was known as the Tercio district, distinct from the rest of the coalfield by its position along the western outcrop.
