  ILAB - Conflict Resolution in the Mexican Labor Courts
The JLCA in Tamaulipas was founded in June 1925 as a consequence of the promulgation of the state's first labor law.
In 3 (13.6 percent) of the 22 Ciudad Victoria cases which had been concluded at the time case records were examined in November 1995, one of the parties in dispute sought an injunction from the Supreme Court to overturn a JLCA ruling.
In both Chihuahua and Tamaulipas in the years between 1990 and 1994, a very high proportion of individual grievances filed with local conciliation and arbitration boards (79.8 percent in Ciudad Chihuahua in the period between January 1992 and June 1995) involved workers' alleged unjustified dismissal.

The state of Tamaulipas is a land on the Tropic of Cancer, an imaginary line that is a continental ecological barrier, which separates the temperate steppes of the north and the tropical plains and mountains of the south.
The last phase of settlement in the Sierra de Tamaulipas, known as Los Ángeles (AD 1200-1748), was characterized by the collapse of this marginal region of Mesoamerica, as well as by the settlement of the southern region of Tamaulipas by nomadic Indians from Aridoamerica.
One of them is a medium-sized pyramid similar to the seashell-like structures in the Maya zone in southeastern Mexico, which has a north-south staircase, and two lateral walls that wrap the core of the pyramid in a spiral; about 600 structures have been identified, 33 of which have been rescued from the jungle.

We found our way back to the mall frequently during our stay in Ciudad Victoria, whether to check our email at the Chat Cafe and talk in a mixture of Spanish and English with the friendly fellow who ran it, to change money, or to pick up groceries.
My favorite time from that week in Ciudad Victoria was the Saturday night that Kelly was catching up on email and I went shopping at Soriana by myself.

Police officers from the office of the Attorney General in Tamaulipas are charged with investigating Mario Medina's death, which could create a conflict of interest as they are the same ones who arrested both him and Hiram Oliveros.

We stopped in Ciudad Victoria for lunch and made our way further south.
Just south of Victoria, we stopped off the road to bird a small side road where we saw: Greater Roadrunner, Ferruginous Pygmy-Owl, Brown Jay, and Varied Bunting.
The rooms were pretty small and had no fan or air conditioning.
