Hoddle Street runs 3.5 km north-south from Clifton Hill to Richmond where it becomes Punt Road (continuing south to Windsor).
The majority of Hoddle Street is a wide section (3 to 4 lanes in each direction) making up a portion of the Hoddle Highway.
In 1987, the northern end of Hoddle Street was the site of a deadly shooting spree known as the Hoddle Street massacre.

Having driven down this road for the last 5 years, I thought that this section of the road was 60km/h...
According to the sources that we have spoken with, they are not allowed to have a speed camera within 200 metres of a speed change...

 Queen Victoria Market - Elizabeth Street
The Queen Victoria Market was officially opened on 20 March 1878, despite markets operating from the site in varying forms prior to that date.
The Upper Market (bounded by Queen, Victoria, Peel and Franklin Streets) was not originally reserved as a market but had a number of other uses including a school and drill hall.
Queen Victoria Market survives today as one of the largest and most intact examples of Melbourne’s great 19th century markets.
