Victorian Arts Centre - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Victorian Arts Centre is a complex of theatres and concert halls in the Southgate precinct of Melbourne, Australia.
Although the buildings themselves are somewhat nondescript, particularly the main concert hall, the complex retains landmark status due to its massive steel spire and its wraparound base, designed to reflect a ballet-dancer's tutu.
The wider arts district includes the adjacent National Gallery of Victoria International and Victorian College of the Arts, as well as the nearby Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
