Victreebel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The name Victreebel may be a combination of "victory" and "bell." It is also worth noting that it contains the word "tree" within it, as Victreebel is a grass-type Pokémon.
Victreebel is said to live in huge colonies deep in the jungle, although nobody has ever returned from these places to confirm.
Victreebel is a member of the genus Nepenthes.

Pokemon Crystal Pokemon of the Day: Victreebel (#71) - IGN FAQs
Anyway, Victreebel is a decent choice for anyone in search of a solid Grass type, and though she typically doesn't defend well and thus doesn't last too long in battle, Victreebel's superior offensive stats will generally allow her to make her presence felt by her opponents as long as she's actually around.
Victreebel's poor defensive stats will ensure that she is dispatched quickly and efficiently unless you can find a way to delay her opponent's attack, and Sleep Powder is unquestionably the best way to go about this in Victreebel's case.
Victreebel can also inherit a couple of interesting defensive maneuvers in Reflect and Synthesis, but a she isn't nearly as hearty as Meganium or Venusaur I can't really see such moves having a chance to work for her before she keels over.

 Green
Victreebel's slanted eyes seemed to glow red as it extended its vines towards Meowth, who just barely escaped capture by throwing himself backwards out of the tree, falling a good eleven or twelve feet.
Victreebel's life had begun in a peaceful glade within the Safari Zone, populated by a community of Bellsprouts, Weepinbells and one wise Victreebel, the leader of their tribe.
Its eyes were green, the same color as a Victreebel's vines, the color of the grass, the color of the treetops, and, of course, of her own leaves.

While Victreebel's attack powers are fairly high, there aren't many Grass or Poison attacks that cause high damage -- so use similar strategies as with Weepinbell and Bellsprout.
A good combination of moves for Victreebel to learn would be Wrap, a Poison technique like Toxic, Sleep Powder or Stun Spore and a Grass technique like Razor Leaf or Mega Drain.
While the damage dealt by moves like Psychic isn't quite as high as when using it against a pure Poison type, it usually does the trick and knocks out Victreebel in one blow.

Acid - This attack is an average attack made a little better by giving the chance of freezing the defending Pokémon in place for a turn.
Considering that several Basic Pokémon can do this damage on each turn, what is the point of going through two (unexciting) evolutions to get to Victreebel?
