	Viennese German - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Viennese German is an East Central Austro-Bavarian dialect spoken mostly in the Austrian capital of Vienna.
		Viennese has to be distinguished from the Austrian form of Standard German and other forms of Austrian German.
		Furthermore, it integrated many expressions from other languages, particularly from other parts of the former Habsburg Monarchy, as Vienna served as a melting pot for its constituent populations in the late 19th century and early 20th century.

		The transitional period of the Second Viennese School between late romantic tonality and serial composition is provoking both compositionally and theoretically.
		The basis of the harmonic language of Viennese expressionism is the chromatic scale and not the major/minor diatonic scale, as in tonality, therefore there are no tones foreign to the harmonic system (nonetheless, as I will argue later, one may still have non-chord tones in an atonal idiom).

	Willi Forst
		A foremost figure in German language motion pictures and theatre for five decades and the wife of Attila Hörbiger, Laurence Olivier considered her to be the greatest film actress of the twentieth century, and Bette Davis was known to have studied her performances.

		One of the greatest of the Viennese opera composers Franz Lehar, wrote a series of wonderful roles for him especially Prince Suo-Chong in "The Land of Smiles." Tauber made one song from this operetta, "Yours is My Heart Alone" an international hit.
		His superstar reputation, you would think, would have guaranteed repertory status for his English language operetta, but such was not the case.

		There is an interesting parallel between this pseudo-archaic-Polish and the ancient languages of Middle Oerth invented up by Tolkien in the refuge of his chambers at Oxford — and in the middle of the same war.
		A language which can easily support long sentences, can have long sentences or short ones, for example, and there is a greater degree of freedom in that.
		A language which allows unusual sentence order (because grammatical function is indicated through declension) has a greater freedom to order its words anyway it likes.
