 Viet kieu prefer domestic investment projects
Viet kieu (Overseas Vietnamese) have been putting more of their money into domestic investment projects instead of foreign-invested ones, according to the HCM City Department of Planning and Investment (DPI).
Chairman of the HCM City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Chon Trung affirmed that more Viet kieu were choosing domestic investment schemes for their businesses.
DPI reported that 79 per cent of Viet kieu projects were in the software-processing sector.
