		Vietcong got a bum rap when it was released a little less than a year ago, even though, for the most part, it was an excellent first-person shooter.
		The Vietcong, as well as the North Vietnamese Army troops whom you'll clash against, tend to be numerous, camouflaged, and careful about attacking from behind cover and in groups.
		Vietcong has a lot of great qualities, so it's unfortunate that some technical issues detract both from its performance and its presentation.

		The console versions of Vietcong mix the original PC game with the expansion pack and while it's a fairly decent game, there is indications that the PC game just was not going to work on the console no matter how much they tried to improve it.
		Vietcong is set in the year 1967 (which for some reason, almost every Vietnam game seems to be set in).
		Vietcong Purple Haze is not a bad game overall but some design decisions have really limited it from becoming a great console game.

		Last year's Vietcong was probably the best entry into the Vietnam first person shooter market, as it had an intense atmosphere, brutal gameplay, and some decent AI for its time.

		The levels are more memorable this time around, and while the actual combat may not be, they've at least improved this aspect of the game.
