There is quite a bit of information on Vignale 102 cars in this thread, including a reference to a 4-headlight version that possibly may have been owned by Al Cortes in California.
I think the problem is that there isn't ANY reliable documentation about Vignale bodied 102 Alfas, including whether or not there were exactly 47 cars or what they looked like.
The problem with your statement is that the much of the information in the Alfa Romeo Historical Archive is based on the notes and recollections of individuals (such as Fusi), rather than on systemic corporate records keeping.

But, had this fabulous car made production (and many thought that it would), the chassis would have become an extruded aluminium affair, the suspension was to be fully independent and the engine would have been a 6.0 litre V12.
Certainly two Vignales were built, although there may have also been a third built for a wealthy client of AML.

Likely to be seen virtually unaltered in the next year or so, the Vignale CC is a departure from existing market offerings in that it doesn't suffer from the portly rear end normally necessitated by the mechanism and stowage for the roof.
The compact arrangement ensures that the Vignale looks as good in coupe form with the roof up, as it does with it down as a cabriolet.
Combined with the excellent proven underpinnings of the Focus, the Vignale could well be the best CC model on the market offering a truly desirable mix of style, looks and dynamics.
