Although the new owners of Vihorlat Snina were unavailable for comment following their purchase of the factory, they have promised to begin rebuilding the deflated workforce.

The Lower Badenian regional type of dacite to rhyodacite volcanism is represented by the fine-grained, predominantly aleuritic-pelitic, light-grey to greenish, Hrabovec rhyodacitic tuffs.
The central zone comprises an unspecified propylitized/chloritized sequence of andesitic porphyries and andesites, the intrusions of diorite porphyries, the dykes of andesite and andesite porphyry, the bodies of secondary quartzites and the silicification and argilitization zones.
The Vihorlat Stratovolcano is characterized by a periclinal arrangement of the lava flows around a central protrusion (a ?tholoid), located in the area of Vihorlat summit triangulation point (1 075,4 m).
