		A man threatening suicide in rural Vilas County was arrested Tuesday after he fired several shots from a gun, led authorities on a chase across a frozen lake, returned to his home and barricaded himself inside.
		Vilas County authorities Monday said an Illinois man was one of the two people killed over the weekend when their vehicle hit a snow bank and overturned several times.
		Vilas County's forestry, recreation and land committee is proposing to purchase 72.8 acres of property south of Eagle River to relocate the county fairgrounds.

		The Vilas County Sheriff's Department says the death wasn't hunting related, the 54 year old Rhinelander man apparently died of natural causes.
