Efren Daquil, the Philippine Air Force official who revealed alleged funds mismanagement in the PAF, said he wants to be taken under the custody of the Senate, his lawyer said Monday.
Daquil was placed in the custody of the Provost Marshal in Villamor last week after airing his sentiments in public in violation of the chain of command.
He revealed that his former outfit, the Air Force Personnel Office, had P30 million in savings but these were allotted to the allowances of generals on top of their monthly salaries.

The remains of 1Lt Servito has been airlifted to Col Jesus Villamor Air Base before noon today and tomorrow, it will be brought to Zamboanga City where he hails from.

When his overwhelmed unit was finally destroyed, Villamor continued his war against the Japanese as an intelligence officer.
On December 27, 1942 Villamor slipped past the Japanese Navy aboard the submarine "Gudgeon." Establishing a chain of direct communication from the Philippines with General Douglas MacArthur in Australia, he coordinated the activities of various guerilla movements in Luzon, Mindanao and the Visayas.
Villamor acted as the "clearing house" for information, which eventually allowed the United States Armed Forces in the Far East (USAFFE) to map out a strategy to liberate the Philippines.

Recently, the Air Force used the OV-10s to bomb the lairs of suspected Islamic extremists in Mindanao, Padilla said.
An Air Force official who asked not to be named, however, said the planes stay away from populated areas and fly only inside Clark.
