		Several groups have protested over the construction of the Misamis Oriental plant because of the danger it brings to the environment.

		IT SEEMS the relocation of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail (MOPJ) at Barangay Imelda in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, will be delayed further.
		The PB instead agreed to hold public hearings with barangay captains and municipal officials in the two districts of the province, on whether they are amenable to having the Provincial Capitol and the MOPJ in Barangay Imelda, Villanueva.
		Both contend that if the transfer pushes through, MOPJ will be some distance from the Hall of Justice and detained suspects who have to attend court hearings might escape in transit to the courts.
