	Dharmapuri - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		It is bounded on the north by Krishnagiri District, on the east by Tiruvannamalai and Viluppuram districts, on the south by Salem District, and on the west by Karnataka's Chamarajanagar District.
		The district occupies an area of 9622 km² and has a population of 2,833,252 (as of 2001).
		Dharmapuri District was created in 1966, when it was separated from Salem District.

		In all the cases, the CSR of each one of the newly constituted districts in 2001 is lower than that in 1991 of the district out of which it was carved.

		In another incident in Tamil Nadu state in Viluppuram district, a huge explosion at a fireworks factory killed 10 workers and injured eight others, four of them critically.
		Most of the victims were staying in a hotel on the top floor of the building housing the warehouse, which is located in a busy commercial area in the heart of the city.
		Police in Hyderabad say the blast at the Shanti Fireworks Warehouse was caused by an electrical short circuit.
