She was born in 1897 at Brooklyn, New York and died in 1987 of heart failure.
She first appeared in films under the name 'Viola Flugrath', first having a bit part in the 1910 film 'A Christmas Carol' before being credited in the 1912 film 'Children Who Labor'.
