Virgin also pioneered seat-back personal TVs in all classes, and have claimed for some time to be upgrading all their aircraft to a Audio/Video on Demand (AVOD) system called V:Port.

Virgin reported pre-tax profits of £68 million in a year when it was forced to slap a fuel surcharge on air fares after oil prices hit new highs.

Branson accused Dixon of being dismissive about Virgin Atlantic's prospects on the lucrative Kangaroo route and said a similar attitude had backfired on the Australian airline three years ago when he set up Virgin Blue to challenge Qantas' domestic monopoly.
Virgin Blue now claims to have almost 30% of the Australian domestic market and Branson said he is confident Virgin Atlantic would have similar success on the Kangaroo route.

I also notified Virgin that my daughter was pregnant and they said they would request bulk head seats to enable her to move about more easily and frequently during the flight.
