Virgin Interactive, meanwhile, has found itself in a tangled romantic web, with Spelling owning about 90 percent of the company and cable-colossus Viacom owning the remainder.
Kris Kraves, a spokeswoman for Virgin Interactive, wants to be more helpful, but she's prevented by mysterious forces (her bosses) from discussing details of the Spelling sell-off or how this will affect Virgin's operations.
Although Bushkin declines to say how much Spelling's stake in Virgin is worth, or whether a prospective suitor is now waiting in the wings, she notes that the actual sell-off could take "several months." Bushkin adds that it's not known as yet what Viacom will do with its Virgin shares.

It's been a while since I actively hated Virgin though I know there are plenty of people left to carry the torch.
Probably the single biggest problem at Virgin which I think was a big factor in lots of the other problems was that the boss was not a gamer in any way shape or form.
When it became close to the end of the project he would personally take home the game and play it and if he found something he thought was frustrating or no fun he would make the development staff change it.

Queensryche's Promised Land, the first ever full-length Rock and Roll CD-ROM adventure game, created by multi-platinum recording group Queensryche, will be released March 19 by EMI Records, Virgin Interactive Entertainment (VIE) and CEMA distribution.
This two-disc adventure evolved from their 1994 platinum audio CD release and includes not only the Promised Land game disc but a second disc, Big Log, which explores the log cabin studio where Queensryche lived and worked during the eight-month long recording session for the Promised Land album.
