		Virginia Overland operated several bus dealerships, notably a franchise for Wayne Corporation which delivered over 2,000 new school and commercial buses between 1976 and 1990.

		Virginia's railroads were designed primarily to transport farm products to urban centers, as freight railroads bring raw goods from the "hinterland" to port cities and shipping manufactured goods back in return.
