[Molesworth, Robert Molesworth, first Viscount.] Observations upon a pamphlet, called, An English Merchant's Remarks upon a scandalous Jacobite paper published in The Post-Boy, under the name of A Memorial presented to the Chancery of Sweden, by the resident of Great Britain.
An attempt to demonstrate that Swedish neutrality during the late wars had been a sham, as Sweden had supplied France with contraband, and had profided the French army with officers; there are also remarks on the current state, both commercial and diplomatic, of relations with Russia ("Muscovy").
The attribution of this tract to Molesworth is tentative; the opinions expressed accord well enough with his position as a prominent Irish peer, serving as a Whig member of Parliament in London.
