The Vision was created by the evil android Ultron, intending to use the Vision against Ultron's creator, Yellowjacket, and his wife, the Wasp.
The Vision's body was created from that of the original Human Torch, while the patterns of his synthetic brain were based on those of the then-deceased Wonder Man.
The Vision and Scarlet Witch's children were then revealed to not be actual children at all: they were fragments of the soul of the demon Mephisto, who had been broken apart by Franklin Richards shortly before the birth of the "twins".

This Is Not News - Comics - November 2000 - Can a Hobby Make It as an Art Form?
Both books are comics themselves; a fl and white McCloud guides the reader through comics history and his vision of comics’ future, using excerpts from other comics and many of the illustrative techniques he describes to develop his points.
The core of comics, he argues, is in its unique portrayal of the passage of time and the way in which this portrayal engages the reader.
It describes McCloud’s vision for comics in the 21st century, and while it is a very good vision, it is one that (in a variety of forms) has been articulated by other comics creators and even by artists in other media.

Vision (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Vision is a fictional character who appears in the comic books published by Marvel Comics, most notably as a member of the superhero team, the Avengers.
The Vision often used his ability to alter his density to attack his opponents by sticking his intangible hand in their chests and then rematerializing it, a process he described as "physical disruption." The process caused opponents great pain, and typically resulted in their incapacitation.
After a brief period of wearing the Vision as armor, Chase Stein of the Runaways remarked that "all of a sudden Cassie's like the prettiest, most perfect girl in the world," which the Vision explained were actually his thoughts having been translated to Stein's mind due to psychic feedback.

He also starred in a text story, "The Vision Speaks", by Stan Lee, in Marvel Mystery Comics #23 (Sept. 1941), in which the ruler of Smoke-World was revealed as The Law-Giver.
Marvel writer-editor Roy Thomas, a fan of the Golden Age character, used the Vision as a visual template for the modern-day Vision, but the characters are otherwise unrelated.
A simulacrum of the Vision was temporaily created from the mind of Rick Jones, along with those of the Blazing Skull, the Fin, the Patriot, and the Golden Age Angel, to aid the superhero team the Avengers during the Kree-Skrull War, in The Avengers Vol.

It wasn't just monthly comic books that were at stake any more; it was the vast ancillary potential of licensing and merchandising the content of those comics.
His workload on the comics had been cut back to allow for his animation work, but as the TV animation season ended, he was scheduled to resume his former pace, writing and drawing some 15 pages a week for Marvel.
No one in the comics industry had been doing this and for longtime publishers like Marvel and DC to insist on ownership of original art would've meant embracing a disastrous debt to state governments.

The Vision's android body was originally believed to have been a refurbished version of the 1940s Human Torch, also an android, but this later turned out not to be the case.
One character he probably did not owe anything to was DC's red-skinned android, The Red Tornado, also a revival of an obscure 1940s character, fashioned by a villain to oppose the company's most prominent superhero team, who wound up becoming a member of the team instead.

 Collaboration Pro and Con
There are numerous other ways to explain poor mainstream comics besides the collaborative element— not least of which is the lack of creative control offered to any of the collaborators involved.
While it may be true that collaborations formed by corporate go-betweens for the purposes of maximizing efficiency and the bottom line don’t often lead to great artistic achievements, this fact has absolutely no bearing on collaborations that result from two complementary creators deciding to work with each other out of mutual respect and common goals.
And if the writing and the illustrating aren’t operating at the same level, then there’s no purity of vision happening— the disconnect will be just as clear as if it were the result of a bad collaboration.

On the other hand, with microscopic vision, Superman’s looking at objects that are smaller than the photoreceptor cells themselves — smaller than the pixels — so there’s no way he should be able to get an accurate or clear image.
Considering the sheer diversity of effects that come out of his eyeballs, I think not only are his lenses more adjustable, I am sure he has multiple lenses that can be used in sequence to produce the desired effect.
“I have telescopic vision” is much easier to say than “I have the ability to detect fine variations over large ranges of the electromagnet spectrum, which I can process similar to sight at long distances” (and doesn’t mean “My eyes have telescope lenses inside of them”).

 The Comics Journal: Essays
In 1999, I wrote an essay for this magazine in which I decried a "Team Comics" mentality, an implied social contract whereby it is asserted that everyone from comics professionals to readers is obligated to help raise the profile and sales levels of the comic-book industry.
Team Comics members in good standing might buy an extra copy of a comic they believe in, shop only at their local comic-book store rather than seek out the best bargain, give comics for presents, loan them to friends and provide a good personal example through attention to personal hygiene and use of pro-comics rhetoric.
Team Comics switches between two basic modes of entreaty: duty, by suggesting someone who really loves comics would do his best by them; and self-esteem, where one is flattered into believing he has the power to create a world in which his choice of entertainment reflects favorably upon him.
