The most important remembrance of this era can be seen at The Black Cave (Vistehola), 9 km north of Stavanger.
The Stone Age people lived in open settings or caves near the shore.

Vistehola, also known as Svarthola (The Black Cave) is situated in the neighbouring municipality Randaberg, appr.
It is not much to see, really, but it gives me a feeling of continuity knowing that some of my ancestors might have lived here 8000 years ago!

Turn left into Goaveien and follow this road.
Control-point 2 is placed on the back of the large sign at huge cave called Svarthola (Vistehola) - which is located at the right side of the road.
Continue to follow Goaveien to the first crossroad.
